What's Next From GOOGLE : I/O 2018 Event Review

        

           

Few days back , google announced their 2018 surprises to the user world through their 2018 I/O event. Unlike in previous events, google focused on the software centric developments in order to enhance the user experience. Moreover, all the developments are going around the world based on the Artificial intelligence and Machine learning.

The event started by a quick introduction by the CEO Sundar Pichai about the needs and features of AI. Google renamed their developments and researches to a new brand  as “google AI” and  they introduced the new OS for the embedded platform as “Android things 1.0". It seems that in the field of embedded and IOT  there is a chance of tight competition between google and Microsoft because they also announced their own IOT and cloud connected platform “Azure”. 

By looking into the event, there are some interesting features announced , Let’s see what are they:

Android P

                               

After the successful launch of Oreo version of android , google moves to the new P version with new features that energies the smart phone world.

       Like Apple iphone X , google also includes one hand on-screen navigation on their new P version that helps to hold and use the phone easily. Also there are some new features that is based on AI to control brightness , battery optimization and move prediction. There is a change in the user interface. Now the UI will change according to your task and time. Like it shows exercise details in morning and meeting details during  work time etc.

Application World

Now the Gmail comes with a new experience with the help of AI  and it can now auto fill the mail content by fetching data from the sender details and we only need to arrange the content in our way …Haha.. Mailing is not a hard job for u anymore……!!!

  Other than Gmail, using Augment reality, map can overlay over the camera to navigate to destination. It resembles the game Pokemon Go. It tells us about the trending  places and stores that is nearby with customer review .It helps travelers and food lovers to find things more easily .

                              

AI based Google assistant now comes with 6 new voice including John Legend . It is able to assist even for booking  appointment for you. Google lens’s new version can convert snaps to document perfectly than before. 

        

      Over all by looking in to the event we can easily tell that the demand of AI increases day by day and  Google pay more attention to enhance the user experience by software  using AI.
